Our ultimate goal was to build a studio that allowed people to get completely lost in the moment. The lights, the sound, the bikes – all components that, when put together in the right combination, create an amazing environment to harness the group's energy.

We're in The Village at River Park, directly next to Dave & Buster's. It's right off of Friant and Freeway 41.

  • Are you a chain?
No sir/ma'am. We're a 100% valley original. RIDE54 was started by a husband and wife team that were born and raised in Fresno, spent several years in the bay area, and then returned here to start their family.
  • How is this different from the cycling classes at my gym?
Quite different. We utilize top-of-the-line bikes and employ a sophisticated studio lighting and sound system to create a complete sensory experience during your ride. Our instructors spend many hours crafting their programs and are able to build a wide range of themes, from inspirational journey rides to thumping party rides. Each rider is free to ride at their own intensity, but they will often find the group experience helps them push themselves to new levels. Our goal is to provide the environment and tools that help people affect real change in their lives.
  • What types of classes will you offer?
We are going to offer a variety of rhythm and performance cycling classes. Rhythm rides will include choreography and the use of arm weights, while performance classes are more similar to an outdoor cycling session. Both types of class will be coordinated with a pulse-pounding playlist, our spectacular lighting environment, and led by a professional and inspiring instructor. There will also be theme rides, charity rides, and special events. For strength training, we will be offering TRX and HIGH Fitness classes at launch.
  • Do you have lockers and changing facilities?
Yes, we will have full amenities available, including showers, lockers, changing room, and a blow dry bar.
  • What is your cancellation/no-show policy?
You may cancel a reservation at least six hours from a class start time without penalty. Cancellations less than six hours from class time will incur a $10 late cancel fee, for those on an unlimited plan. A no-show will result in a $15 no-show fee. Holders of class packs will forfeit their reserved class session. We understand that occasionally things happen beyond your control, so we allow for up to three late cancels before a penalty is assessed.
  • I've never done this before. Are you sure I can keep up?
Our classes are designed to provide an environment that will provide an intense cardiovascular workout for seasoned riders while still remaining completely accessible to the new rider. Each rider is always in full control of their resistance level. We ride together, we support each other, and the ultimate goal is to uplift the mind, body, and spirit. If you aren't able to do everything in a class on your first ride, you are free to set your own pace. Most people become very comfortable with the mechanics of the class by the end of their first ride. We will also have a free 30 minute intro class on Saturdays for anyone interested in learning the basics of our methodologies.
  • Will you have a daycare option?
No...but there is a wonderful option right next door – KidsPark offers hourly drop-in rates and will take children as young as two years old.
  • Are you hiring?
Not currently, but please feel free to email your resume to us at jobs@ride54.com in case you want to be considered if an opening comes up in the future.
  • What type of bikes do you use?
We use Stages SC3 cycles, the finest bikes available today for indoor cycling. They were designed by the team that developed the original spinning bike and are the result of decades of experience with indoor cycling. Stages power meters are renowned throughout the industry as the most accurate available, which is why many Tour de France riders insist on using them.
  • Do I need to wear cycling shoes?
Yes, we require the use of clip-in shoes to ensure the best results and the safest ride. If you do not have your own shoes, we will provide a pair for you to use at no additional charge.
  • What types of cleats can I wear?
Our pedals are compatible with SPD (not SPD-SL) and Look KEO cleat systems.

Studio Etiquette

To create the most positive environment possible, we ask that riders observe these simple rules.

Arrive on time

We respect your time and will begin classes as scheduled. Please allow yourself enough time to get set up. In respect to the other riders, we will not allow anyone into the studio more than five minutes after a class has started.

Please unplug

In order to maintain a distraction-free environment, we ask that all cell phones, headphones, and tablets be kept out of the cycling room. Our larger lockers all feature USB charging ports, so you can fill up while you rock out inside.

We ride together

Our goal is to harness the group's energy by riding in a pack. If you do want to do your own thing, please choose a bike towards the back of the room.

Stay hydrated

We work hard, proper hydration is a must. Make sure you drink enough water before class and make sure you have enough with you for the entire ride.

Keep it clean

If you move it, put it back. If you bring it, take it home. If you drip on it, wipe if off. Help us keep our sanctuary a sanctuary.

Early departure

To help maintain the energy of the ride to its zenith, we ask that riders stay through the full duration of a class. If you absolutely need to leave early, please make sure you take a bike near the door and leave quickly and quietly.
